Kdy\u017e si v\u0161ak uv\u011bdom\u00edme, \u017ee se nach\u00e1z\u00ed 150 milion\u016f kilometr\u016f daleko, najednou v\u00a0n\u00e1s mohou za\u010d\u00edt hlodat ot\u00e1zky: jak je mo\u017en\u00e9, \u017ee jej i na takovou vzd\u00e1lenost vid\u00edme? A p\u0159es ni dok\u00e1\u017ee p\u0159en\u00e9st teplo a\u017e k\u00a0n\u00e1m, p\u0159es vakuum vesm\u00edru? Odpov\u011bdi na tyto ot\u00e1zky jsou mnohem p\u0159ekvapiv\u011bj\u0161\u00ed, ne\u017e by se mohlo b\u011b\u017en\u00e9mu \u010dlov\u011bku zd\u00e1t.\u00a0V\u00a0prvn\u00ed \u0159ad\u011b je dobr\u00e9 se pod\u00edvat, z\u00a0\u010deho se vlastn\u011b na\u0161e nejbli\u017e\u0161\u00ed hv\u011bzda skl\u00e1d\u00e1. Jsou to vod\u00edk a h\u00e9lium, s\u00a0minim\u00e1ln\u00ed p\u0159\u00edm\u011bs\u00ed jin\u00fdch prvk\u016f s\u00a0n\u00edzk\u00fdm protonov\u00fdm \u010d\u00edslem. A zde je pr\u00e1v\u011b kl\u00ed\u010d k\u00a0cel\u00e9 z\u00e1had\u011b \u2013 procesy, kter\u00e9 zde prob\u00edhaj\u00ed.\u00a0\u00a0Slunce toti\u017e nen\u00ed tvo\u0159eno pevnou hmotnou, jak by se mohlo zd\u00e1t, n\u00fdbr\u017e se jedn\u00e1 o plynnou kouli. V\u00a0n\u00ed prob\u00edhaj\u00ed neust\u00e1le jadern\u00e9 reakce, p\u0159i kter\u00fdch se \u0161t\u011bp\u00ed vod\u00edk na h\u00e9lium. Pr\u00e1v\u011b tato siln\u00e1 jadern\u00e1 reakce je p\u0159\u00ed\u010dinou v\u00a0podstat\u011b v\u0161ech jev\u016f, kter\u00e9 m\u00e1me se Sluncem spojen\u00e9. Bez nads\u00e1zky jde toti\u017e o ob\u0159\u00ed nest\u00edn\u011bn\u00fd jadern\u00fd reaktor.\u00a0Zde je prvn\u00ed probl\u00e9m \u2013 lid\u00e9 si nedovedou p\u0159edstavit, jak obrovsk\u00e9 Slunce ve skute\u010dnosti je. V\u00a0porovn\u00e1n\u00ed s\u00a0n\u00edm je Zem\u011b v\u00a0podstat\u011b jen sm\u00edtko. Nelze se tedy divit, \u017ee jej vid\u00edme na takovou vzd\u00e1lenost \u2013 jadern\u00e9 reakce vyd\u00e1vaj\u00ed velmi siln\u00e9 z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed, a to i ve viditeln\u00e9m spektru. Vyvol\u00e1vaj\u00ed je ov\u0161em i v\u00a0tom, kter\u00e9 je lidsk\u00e9mu oku neviditeln\u00e9 \u2013 a pr\u00e1v\u011b to je zdrojem tepla.\u00a0\u00a0Toho je takov\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00ed, \u017ee skute\u010dn\u011b zvl\u00e1dne na takovou vzd\u00e1lenost oh\u0159\u00edvat i na\u0161i planetu, i kdy\u017e teplo poch\u00e1zej\u00edc\u00ed z\u00a0j\u00e1dra Zem\u011b tak\u00e9 nelze zanedbat. Spolu v\u0161ak vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed ide\u00e1ln\u00ed podm\u00ednky pro \u017eivot, alespo\u0148 tedy po dobu, kdy bude tato jadern\u00e1 reakce prob\u00edhat. A jen tomu, \u017ee vakuum nep\u0159en\u00e1\u0161\u00ed zvuk, m\u016f\u017eeme d\u011bkovat za to, \u017ee i na tuto vzd\u00e1lenost neohluchneme.\u00a0Jist\u011b, v\u0161ichni v\u00edme, \u017ee radiace jej nebezpe\u010dn\u00e1, a to plat\u00ed i v\u00a0tomto p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b. To je i d\u016fvod, pro\u010d se \u017eivot za\u010dal po\u0159\u00e1dn\u011b rozv\u00edjet a\u017e po vzniku oz\u00f3nov\u00e9 vrstvy, kter\u00e1 p\u016fsob\u00ed jako protiradia\u010dn\u00ed \u0161t\u00edt.
